News from La Yeva

What is new at La Yeva — from the very first day.

In June it became eight years since I opened my own salon in Königswinter. That is not a round anniversary, and so it was not a loud day either. But it is a good moment to look back once — and to say thank you.

What has stayed over eight years

Much has changed in that time: colour techniques have become gentler, lightening more precise, and whatever passes through the salons as a trend changes every season anyway. I keep training regularly so as to handle it all skilfully — that is part of the craft.

What has stayed is the reason I began back then: the calm. Here you may arrive, switch off and let your mind wander for a few hours — confidential, unobtrusive, with no glancing at the clock. Eight years on I know the sums work out: not because a great many people sit here in a single day, but because so many come back.

As of today La Yeva has a new website: with a look inside the salon, the services at a glance — and with a journal that did not exist before.

For many, having their hair washed is the moment they truly arrive — the head leans back, the water is warm, and for a few minutes nothing has to happen. So that this moment becomes more than a step along the way, there is a chair with a massage function at the basin: the Variolore Space.

On 1 June 2018 I opened my own salon in Königswinter. By then I had stood behind the styling chair for eighteen years — mostly where several clients are attended to at once and the eye is always already on the next one. La Yeva was meant to be different.
